What is MetriLife?
MetriLife is a mobile app that tracks the users’ objective and subjective measures and educates them on how to use this information to effectively modify their lifestyles permanently over time. MetriLife teaches Users how to optimize their behavior in order to achieve their goals. This is accomplished by first creating a sense of self awareness, which allows the User to recognize patterns and find correlations that lead to positive or negative outcomes. Once this is established, MetriLife will prompt the User and inform them whenever these Trends are repeated. Using these prompts, MetriLife guides Users along their journey towards better health and performance. MetriLife is a vehicle for lifestyle change.
What am I seeing on the Home Screen?
On the Home Screen, the Users will find their most recent Daily Metric Inputs displayed graphically against behaviours deemed to be optimal. These Optimal Behaviour values are determined based on the most up to date research. Below the radar graph is a list of top matching Trends. Positive and Negative Trends are identified by the colours green and red respectively.
What are Metrics?
Metrics are questions that Users answer daily. The Daily Metrics are 10 base questions that are pertinent to all Users, all the time. Metrics are made up of both subjective and objective variables. Additional packages of Metrics can be downloaded within the MetriLife Marketplace. These additional questions allow the User to customize their experience in parallel to their goals.
What is Input Metrics?
The process of inputting daily Metrics takes 40-60 seconds. Questions can be answered all at once, or throughout the day. After each package of questions is completed, the option is provided to record a Journal Entry and upload a Progress Picture.
What is a Journal Entry?
A Journal Entry is made after the questions within a Metric Package are answered. This is a way for a user to provide context to the answers they have input. This information can be reviewed in the future in the Journal.
What are Trends?
Trends are single Metrics, or combinations of Metrics, recorded over time that have been determined to significantly correlate with a particular outcome. Trends can be saved by the User in the Review and Create Trends page, or they can be downloaded from the MetriLife Marketplace. Once saved, a Trend becomes an Alert.
What is the Review and Create Trends?
Users select which Metric(s) they wish to display graphically along with the duration of days they wish to examine. Users are able to view Metrics in combination and compare them alongside one another to determine if a correlation is present. If the User determines a Trend to be meaningful to an outcome they have experienced, they can save this information. They will be prompted to include the nature of the outcome, as well as an action plan.
What is the Journal?
In the Journal, Entries made during Metric inputting are available for review. Journal entries are organized by date. Within each day, the User can view Journals Entries, saved Progress Pictures, and view the Trend Alerts that have been deployed. These are all visible next to the Metric Package to which they belong.
What are Trend Alerts?
Trend Alerts are deployed preemptively when the User’s lifestyle trajectory is headed towards a match with a saved Trend. Depending on the nature of the Trend, positive or negative, the Alert will provide affirmation to continue on the current trajectory, or provide an intervention to change course in order to avoid the negative outcome and to optimize the situation.
